A love lot of love went into this wedding. And it was their love that brought together an 18-member bridal party and their closest family and friends to celebrate their marriage. Sarah & Josh met, fell in love and got married at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. It was over a casual meal with friends that Josh first noticed Sarah. She asked him if he would like a refill on his sweet tea when she got up to refill her own glass. That servant heart is one of the many qualities that Josh fell in love with. Through a short time of dating, the two became a couple and quickly began thinking of the future. Josh proposed to Sarah on the Prestonwood campus out by the pond and then surprised her with a sweet engagement celebration of their friends and family.

Sarah wanted more of a stylized-engagement portrait session. So we planned unique locations and props to incorporate into her engagement session. We photographed them having a morning picnic in a wild field, then baking cookies in her kitchen and lastly shopping at the Farmer’s Market in downtown Dallas.

For Sarah’s bridal portraits, we chose to photograph them at White Rock Lake so that her bridal portraits would have a natural and elegant feel to them.

Sarah wanted a little time to plan and prepare her wedding, so they set a 9 month engagement and so her designing and crafting began. Sarah and her amazing group of girlfriends poured a ton of love and creativity into making pieces for her wedding. They shopped for personal touches to add to the decor at Etsy.com and stories like Anthropolige and she commissioned one of her talented friends to create the floral arrangement for the wedding. Sarah & Josh had a beautiful afternoon wedding in the Chapel at Prestonwood, followed by an appetizer and cupcake reception in the Commons at Prestonwood. The elegant but casual reception was perfect to celebrate the start of their marriage with their family and closest friends. They danced, they visited and hugged, and left the church with a beautiful and colorful balloon send off. After the reception, we went to the nearby Arbor Hill Nature Preserve to photograph them as husband and wife. After our brief portrait session, the two went off to celebrate with a honeymoon to Hawaii.
