Melissa & Brandon are expecting a baby! yay! I photographed their wedding back in 2009 and it was my first wedding with my favorite wedding coordinator Meredith at Significant Events of Texas. I was so excited when they contacted me about photographing them for Melissa’s Maternity Portraits and some family portraits. We photographed their session in a field out in Prosper. The weather has been a bit crazy out in Prosper lately, but we were able to beat the rain and have some beautiful cloud cover for their portraits. I hope you enjoy them.

Raquel & Patrick: Maternity Portraits at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum

Meet Raquel and Patrick! Raquel was my super-great-awesome boss at Prestonwood Baptist Church where I worked as a graphic designer for 3 1/2 years. So we’ve known each other for a while. She is such a wonderful person and so fun to talk with—I miss those mini chats throughout the day. With their first child on the way, I convinced her to do maternity portraits. Raquel did not want the typical hands on the belly photos, so we brainstormed a bit of a different concept for their session. They’re expecting a baby boy to be named Jackson and they decided to decorate his room with vintage airplanes, so Raquel and Patrick wanted to photograph their session at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison. It was such a fun place for portraits (minus the heat inside the hangers – LOL). So enjoy these rare maternity portraits on my blog. I had to post them since she’s humored me by checking out my blog every time I sent her a link and she’s watched me grow as a photographer over the years.

Abby + Michael: Maternity Portraits

My super-great-friend Abby is due in like 3 weeks, so it was definitely time for her maternity portraits. This session was all about the shoes and the belly. Abby came with super cute accessories, props and these iddy biddy baby converse shoes.They wanted a mix of urban and country portraits and I swear that Dallas really just is that mix. So we started at the top a parking garage at the Shops at Legacy and then headed for a dirt road with amazing light! I’m just so excited for Abby and Michael and their baby boy to come. Abby is totally going to be the best mom—she’s just wired for it. So best wishes for your growing family. You know me and my light. Now that is one totally an awesome pregnant dip kiss!I just love these yellow lines! (Can you tell?)This is my favorite photo from the day. I love everything about it —Abby’s expression, the warm light, the tight framing. Ahh… isn’t love great!Look at how stinkin’ stunning Abby is here! And here’s more belly.
