Kristin + Tommy: Texas Road Trip Engagement Portraits

pintopinterestMeet Kristin & Tommy. When we met for our consultation we just totally hit it off and we began planning for a really fun engagement portrait session. I was sharing with them about a recent road trip I took to South Carolina. There was so much beautiful countryside and I’ve always wanted to have a couple jump in the car with me and get out at different spots along the way. And Kristin & Tommy thought it sounded like a great idea and agreed to go somewhere and we set our sights on Austin. We started at sunrise at White Rock Lake in Dallas, drove to Waco, Temple and then Austin. It was definitely a full day, but we had so much fun at different locations and I’m excited to share their road trip engagement session with you. pintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterestpintopinterest

How did you get them alone in the capital building in Austin? I would think lots of people would be bustling around. As always – love your work.

The settings of these pictures are “almost” as beautiful as Kristin’s & Tommy’s obvious happiness. My favorite is the one on the suspension bridge in Waco. The close-ups of their smiling faces in the others just made my day. This trip was a wonderful way to start on their journey to the altar.

  • Karen Hall

Congratulations on a wonderful photo spread. You two are great advertising for the photographer because you look so fabulous.

  • […] Kristin and Tommy were married on Saturday at Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas. So I’m so excited to share Kristin’s bridal portraits with you! We photographed her bridal portraits at Park Cities Baptist Church on an afternoon in February. We so were blessed with some of the most beautiful sunlight for her bridal portraits. I started with about 50 of her portraits to blog, but I had to keep narrowing them down – she is such a beautiful, kind and elegant bride. It was a joy to spend more time with Kristin during her bridal portrait session. I cannot wait to hear what you think – so leave a comment! It would sure make me happy! • […] Kristin & Tommy were married in March at Park Cities Baptist Church. I love this moment of Kristin and her dad just before they were to walk down the aisle. Kristin was trying really hard to stay composed and was holding back her emotions once it was time for the ceremony to begin. I love these little moments. Posted in Moment Monday […]

  • […] Kristin & Tommy were married March 12 at Park Cities Baptist Church in Highland Park. It was such a joy to be a part of their wedding celebration. Some of my favorite things I loved about Kristin & Tommy’s wedding were 1) the location – Park Cities Baptist Church is a lovely church and the Ellis Chapel is a beautiful southern chapel. 2) all of Kristin’s details – Kristin did a beautiful job with all of the details from her garter to the cake, she really did so many sweet things for Tommy to make it their special day. 3) Her dad performed the ceremony – Her Dad is a pastor and was the interim pastor at Park Cities Baptist Church for a time and it is always so sweet to hear all of the words of wisdom and teaching from a dad who’s also a preacher. I’ll share more in the upcoming posts. […]
