Suzaan + Sixto: Cleburne Wedding

Meet Suzaan & Sixto! They were married July 31, 2010, at Grace Awakening Church in Cleburne, Texas. It was a sweet and intimate wedding for about 60 of their closest family and friends. Their reception was held at the cute Lemon Sisters Cafe & Bakery in downtown Cleburne. My first job was in Cleburne as a features writer and photographer at the Cleburne Times Review, so driving down to their wedding brought back a lot of memories. The town has a lot of character and so many unique locations for portraits. Suzaan and her bridesmaids prepared for the wedding at The Liberty Hotel. Their ceremony began at 11:00 a.m. and I loved having so much time after their reception for a groom portrait session that lasted about an hour and a half. Their ceremony also had many sweet moments: Their parents spoke a blessing over them and they signed their marriage certificate as a part of their ceremony, both of which I have not seen during a wedding ceremony.
