Melanie + Grant: Engagement Portraits

Meet Melanie & Grant! Melanie contacted me about squeezing in her engagement portraits this month and after the monsoon we had the most beautiful day ever for their engagement session!!! Melanie is a super sweet girl and she and Grant just seem to “go” together. They treat each other with great respect and care and I think that’s a great place to start with a relationship. We photographed their engagement portraits at the Shops at Legacy and in a wild field nearby that I love. Also, this is the first session I got to use my new 50mm 1.2 and I just fell in love with it. It’s just such a wonderful lens and I loved the results it produced—so crisp! So anyways, enjoy this sweet couple’s engagement portraits.

althea sullivan - From the State Fair (what a great idea for a phot shoot) to the Cotton Gin to a random field – you are a treveling woman – but seriously no matter where the shot, they all come out great – You have a gift for bringing out the best in everyone no matter what the venue.

Melanie: Bridal Portraits at Dallas Baptist University » Allison Davis Photography Blog — Inspired by Love - [...] Melanie and Grant were married in December. I’ve been a little behind on sharing some of my favorites from her bridal portrait session at Dallas Baptist University. Melanie also loved all of the bridal portraits that I had done in random fields throughout the metroplex. So while we did this series last, I just love Melanie’s beautiful eyes in the golden fields. So enjoy! The DBU campus has so many beautiful areas for portraits.Melanie chose this one as one of the bridal portraits she displayed at her reception. I love this long shot of the back of Melanie’s Dress. Melanie is such a happy girl!
