Ashley + Kyle: Wedding {Part 1}

Yay for Ashley & Kyle!! Ashley has been a dream bride—from our first e-mails I just loved her! It was such a joy to be her wedding photographer from her engagement and bridal portraits to her wedding day photography. She is such a stunning and fabulous young lady and I was just so excited for her when her wedding day finally came! Ashley and Kyle were married Sept. 19, 2009 at Prestonwood Baptist Church. I spent almost the whole day with them and so I had lots of opportunity to capture amazing, fun, silly and romantic moments. The girls had their hair done at Ashley’s house and they were all just chillin’ in the bathroom — such a funny sight. Mom gives a big hug to her baby girl before she heads to the mall to have her make up done.

Ashley’s sister Courtney (below) and her friend Mandy also had their make up done at MAC.
Love this! Courtney and Ashley are super-close sisters. Courtney was super fun—she came along for the engagement and bridal portrait sessions. So if you’re ever wondering what girls are doing “getting ready” for so long on the wedding day, well they were reliving dancing skills.  And seeing if they could still do the splits. And yes, Ashley can still do them. hehehe This is one of my favorite photos from the day! All of those layers + a happy bride = a happy moment.  I also went by Kyle’s apartment to catch some pics of the guys getting ready.  Ashley and Kyle did a first sight, which was amazing! They’re just so sweet to each other. It was a really sweet moment and after the ceremony we didn’t take a single photo—straight to the party (totally the best way to spend more time with your husband on your wedding day).  Yay couple portraits!
Before the ceremony, the girls were just hanging out and taking turns taking photos inside the large armoire. Love the divas! A tie for one of my other favorites from the day! So darn cute! The ceremony. Love Prestonwood’s Chapel. It’s just such a lovely chapel with great windows and beautiful stain glass.  Yes! Love this! It was really such a proud day for both families and the start of Ashley and Kyle’s family. Yay marriage!
