Aaron is my husband, my best friend and my most favorite person in the world. We’ve been married for almost 6 years. We met in College at the Oklahoma Baptist University while helping serve in a ministry called Mission Center that conducted weekly VBS for inner city kids. We walked throughout the neighborhoods to pick up children and Aaron was assigned to our group to walk with us. Through Mission Center and the group’s weekly activities we became friends. One day after Mission Center we were suppose to go see a movie in the city with some friends and surprisingly all of the friends decided not to go and we were left to decide if we were going to see the movie with just the two of us. We sat watching “Troy,” eating popcorn and having a great time. After the ride home, I dropped Aaron off at his dorm and frankly asked him whether what we just did was a date or not. He played coy and left me still wondering what just happened. With the semester coming to an end, Aaron asked if he could call me over the summer and I said that he could. We spoke every night that week on the phone for hours and on the night before I went to Spain he asked me to be his girlfriend. Over the summer he made long distance phone calls to Spain and we emailed just about every day. By the time I came home we knew each other so well and just months later he proposed to me at his surprise birthday party (that apparently was no surprise to him). We were married just after graduating from OBU.
We love being married and we’ve had so many fun adventures together. There’s no one else I’d rather spend every day with or dream about the future with.
Aaron is a youth minister a FBC Frisco and we serve in the church together in the youth ministry. He’s continuing his education at Southwestern Seminary and working on his Masters of Divinity and training to be a Navy Chaplain. We know we have an exciting road of adventures ahead of us and I can’t wait!
Aaron and I were married Dec. 30, 2005 at Parkway Hills Baptist Church in Plano, followed by a wedding reception at the Marriott Hotel at the Shops at Legacy. It was like 60 degrees on our wedding day and we had an amazing wedding day with our closest friends and family. Our wedding colors were red and black. I love Gerber Daisies and had my bridesmaids carry them on the wedding day. We had a couple of funny incidents at our wedding including that moment my best friend’s bridesmaid’s dress zipper broke and they had to sow her into her dress and the rings got stuck on the ring bearer’s pillow and they had to be ripped off the pillow. We left the ceremony to the Peanuts song “Linus & Lucy.” Our first dance was to “How Sweet It Is” by Michael Buble and Aaron and I took swing dancing lessons and owned the dance floor. We had our honeymoon in Paris, France & Rome, Italy and it was an amazing start to our marriage.
My perfect day would consist of all my favorite things and jam-packing a day full of fun! I love sleeping in, doing brunch at Oddfellows with my best girl friends. Then I’d catch an early movie, hit some golf balls at Top Golf, another round of lattes and then relax at home in my hammock for a while to catch some sun. Then I’d love to go out for dinner and dancing with Aaron followed by a Molten Cake at Chili’s. Seriously, best day ever!
I’ve done some really fun and random stuff in my life: I’ve been skydiving; I’ve been to “The Price is Right” & my friend got to the showcase showdown; I’ve tried all 31 flavors at Baskin Robbins; I made one of the world’s longest hopscotch boards on my college campus; and I always love trying new things.
I love to travel! In high school I was blessed with a lot of opportunities to travel and that love has stuck with me ever since. The places I’d still like to go include: Argentina, Hawaii, Finland, England, the French Countryside and Tahiti. I’d love to return to Spain, Ireland, Germany & Austria. My favorite country I’ve ever visited is Ireland—Aaron and I had an amazing time and I’ve never been to a more beautiful place.
I love music and I have a pretty random mix of favorites. I love country, disco, pop, classic rock, singer/songwriters and more. Above are some of my favorite musicians and they’re artists that I have all of their CDs.
I love seeing movies! I love romantic comedies, time period movies, comedies, and I grew up watching musicals.![]()
While I’m sitting at my desk editing, I have a lot of time to watch TV. I love shows with great characters. One of my all-time favorite TV shows is “Mad About You” but these days I’m loving “Community” & “The Office”. I won’t miss a week without watching “The Soup” or “The Millionaire Matchmaker” either.![]()
My name is Allison Davis.
I’m a local girl: I grew up in Plano and graduated from Plano West Senior High School. I went to Oklahoma Baptist University and graduated with a B.A. in Journalism.
I married Aaron Davis, Friday, Dec. 30, 2005. We had an awesome honeymoon in Paris and Rome (for reals, it was incredible)!
Aaron is a youth minister at FBC Frisco and we love and serve the Lord together by serving in the church.
One of my favorite trilogies of all time is “Step Up.” I really wish I was an awesome dancer!
I love to travel! And by love I mean I am constantly researching fun trip ideas, reading Travel and Leisure and National Geographic Traveler Magazine. I always love having a fun trip or getaway to look forward to.
My favorite guilty pleasure is a toss up between a Paradise Bakery Chocolate Chip Cookie or Orville Redenbacher popcorn with peanut M&Ms.
I’m learning how to play golf. I use to play softball in high school and played intermural sports in college, but now I’m learning to play a sport that I can play all by myself or with my husband. We love going to Top Golf for date nights.
I’ve kind of always been a story teller. In high school I was the yearbook editor, in college I was a newspaper editor and now I consider myself in the business of documenting the happiest times and the most important people in someone’s life.
I love my job because I love my clients, I love marriage, and I love being creative and being a business woman.
I love making romantic pictures of couples and would be honored to be your wedding or portrait photographer!
